Spiritual seasons come into our lives just like the earthly seasons God brings each year.
In much the same way, you and I go through seasons of waiting. These are the seasons when God seems silent…when our dreams and visions for the future seem lifeless.
But although we may not see or feel anything exciting, it doesn’t mean nothing is happening as Pastor Wilson Bugembe reveals through his latest devotion on Seasons.
Bugembe on Monday took to social media to encourage those frustrated, agitated and drained by former experiences in life. He called for attitude adjustment noting that a new season has been set and that God always has new adventures for believers to experience.
“God is closing an old season. A new one starts now,” he assured the readers.
“Like a woman folds a mat and put it on a side!, So is the old season being wrapped off, says the Lord.” Bugembe said. “I strongly feel this is for someone out there.”
Old Testament to the New, from the beginning of Scripture to the end of it, we discover that although one’s struggles might appear insurmountable, they will seem far more manageable with the help of God.
The gospel singer urges that relationship with God can often be based on old experiences that were meant for a season, but in order to enter into the new we must let the former go.
“Jacob’s sons lied to him that his son (Joseph) had died. They killed a goat and put blood on his coat. Jacob believed a lie. He told everyone his son had died for years in Genesis 37. But later on in Genesis 48:11, He saw his son again, It was his last miracle! He died a happy man. He said; I never expected to see you again, but I have seen you and your children,” Bugembe said. “I pray for you. Those eyes will not close and that heart will not stop until the devil’s lies are wiped off.”
“It’s time to plant seeds of faith again, It’s time to go back to school, It’s time to apply for that visa again, It’s time to start that long overdue dream, It’s time to build, It’s time to forgive and re-unite with your family again. I hear this in the spirit! The storm is over, It’s time to forgive and move on. Dream again, It’s time to take back your nets ‘Peter’. This time you have Jesus’ word “you will catch fish”.” He added.
