Over 200 students who graduated at Charis Bible College (CBC) in Kampala, Uganda recently were encouraged to fully embrace the great commission and be disciples of all nations wherever God sends them.
This call was made by Bishop Joshua Lwere, general overseer of the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches of Uganda who was the chief guest during the 9th graduation ceremony for the Bible college last month.
Charis Bible college is an extension of Andrew Wommack Ministries, founded by world-renowned USA-based televangelist Andrew Wommack.
90 students received a certificate in first year Biblical Studies, 97 received a diploma and 41 bachelors in Biblical Studies and Ministry.
“Discipling nations goes beyond discipling people. Jesus said go ye therefore and make disciples of the nation but not in the nation,” said Bishop Joshua Lwere, who is also the founder and senior pastor of Grace Assembly church.
He added: “Now we have been called to disciple this whole nation. To transform its politics, businesses, families, go into the media. What you have now is the deposit of Heaven to bring the kingdom where you are.”
Bishop Lwere who was among the first pastors that welcomed Andrew Wommack and help start Charis in Uganda, said he was grateful to see the fruits coming out after 10 years of its birth.
Mr. Isaac Akowuah, the Africa Regional director Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College, applauded the graduands for going through the preparation process for the gospel of the kingdom.

“No one can arrive at the future they can’t see and you can never arrive at the future you are not prepared for,” stated Mr Akowuah.
Quoting 2 Timothy 4:2 which says, ‘Preach the word. Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching,’ Mr Akowuah said God doesn’t want anything to take us by surprise, but be prepared for anything in our journey of life.
Mr. Akowuah explained that the 229 students are now trained disciples ready to go out and share the Gospel with the rest of the world in the way God has uniquely called each individual to do it.
Mr. Rich Kanyali, the director for Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible college, Uganda asked the students not to take a vacation from the word of God but to continue diligently reading it.
“College is not the end of the bible. Just because you graduated from a bible college does not mean you don’t read the bible. You have to continue being consistent in the word of God,” emphasised Mr. Kanyali.
