During the mysterious disappearance of Pastor George Okudi to his new found home in Washington DC., allegations of him neglecting of God, marital infidelity, homelessness and immense poverty circulated several tabloids and social media platforms, an act that forced the 2003 Kora Awards grand nominee and winner step out and address the situation.
On March 8, 2016 he uploaded a 4-minute-video discarding all rumors and pushing back against the intentional malice of those he described as “jealousy Ugandans,”
In that video, Okudi disapproved critics saying that he had recorded 300 songs from his own studio ever since he left Uganda and hopefully, what we have today includes that much he has been preparing.
This new song titled ‘Saba bu Sabbi’ was uploaded towards the weekend and, the 40 year old didn’t stop at releasing the audio, he also dropped a music video for it.
Unlike most of his recent music, ‘Saba bu Sabbi’ was recorded in luganda, with a supporting dance crew that included 6 ladies in red costume.
“This song is dedicated to victors. Now you the haters that say that I ‘fell’, let me tell you haters, God is my shepherd, I am more than a victor because of His word … If you rise up to fight me, I will show you strength, Your rumor and words hold no power,” so go the lyrics in part to ‘Saba bu Sabbi’
