It all started when he was raped and molested at a birthday party when he was 9.
Pastor and speaker Kegan Wesley lives a lifestyle of love. But years ago, he expressed those some sentiments by a different standard: As a gay man addicted to drugs.
“I didn’t know where to go or who to go to,” Wesley says. “… but I didn’t know if they would believe me, so I began to believe that lie in my heart.”
But at 18, he encountered God.
700 Club’s Terry Meeuwsen asks, “Talk a little bit about the church today and the issue of homosexuality? I think people are very uncomfortable with anyone of their gender who has the same sex attraction. That instead of loving and helping to walk through it, over the years we have buried our heads in the sand and kind of wriggled our fingers. Where is that at today?”
“You know, in the darkest hour of my life, the world was so loud and the church was so quiet. And I feel like some times, we want to run away from the problem instead of running to it. When there is a bomb that blows up in a building, majority of the people will run away from it. Instead of helping people that have been injured by the bomb…” says Pastor Kegan
