Popular Nigerian gospel minister, Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa have tied the knot in a church ceremony. The couple who walked down the aisle on Saturday had their traditional marriage ceremony in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital on Friday.
In June, the sonorous singer announced via her verified Instagram account to the delight of her fans about her engagement to the cleric who is a resident pastor of The Waterbrook Church and also an IT professional.
However, in August, they legalised their union at a Lagos marriage registry. The elated songstress via her verified Instagram account shared the good news accompanied with pictures which she captioned, “To God be the glory, great things He has done. Forever to go with you my sweet”.
Their church wedding was witnessed by family, friends and Nigerian celebrity couple, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington and her singer husband, Bankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W. Also in attendance at the ceremony was iconic gospel singer, Chioma Jesus.
The Eezee Conceptz family also graced the wedding including Label boss, Eezee Tee, Judikay, and GUC.
Mercy Chinwo’s other songs include ‘Chinedum’, ‘Obinasom’, ‘Na You Dey Reign’, ‘Oh Jesus’ among others.
