You must have a vision for your life. You must have a vision for your marriage, your children, your job and your walk with God. Actually, you already do have a vision, but the question is, where did it come from?
Walking by faith is walking in the dimension of seeing the unseen. It means looking at what is and seeing it as what it could be. Jesus did so with 5 loaves and 2 fishes. The disciples had a vision of lack, while Jesus saw more than enough. Jesus imposed His vision on the vision of the disciples and the circumstances were changed.
You have a vision, but you may not be aware of it. You may not even know who formed it or where it came from. Everything in this fallen world is competing for your vision. Your flesh wants what it wants. The news wants you to live in fear and anxiety. Medical advertisements want you to focus on any possible thing that could signal an illness. Economic forecasts want you to focus on the stock market or the unemployment rate. If you are over 65, there are organizations that want you to focus on “senior care.” Everybody wants a piece of you! Even Satan has a vision for your life: total destruction, loss, sickness, heartache and poverty.
Which vision are you cooperating with? Are you even aware of the visions that are shaping you?
Did you know that God has a vision for you? He has a vision for your health, your marriage, your children, your prosperity, your job and your future.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jer. 29:11)
This is exciting but if we are blind to God’s vision for us we will likely never experience it. Have you “seen” what God sees? What are you looking at on a daily basis; circumstances or possibilities? If we aren’t intentional in seeing what God sees for our life, marriage, family, health and prosperity, we will allow other forces to give us their vision for us. Take a look at what you are seeing. It is a picture of your future.
