Hit single, “Victory belongs to Jesus” by athlete, songwriter and worshiper, Todd Dulaney has been nominated for the 2017 Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards that are aimed at honoring gospel and Christian music in USA.

GMA announced recently that “Victory belongs to Jesus” received a nod from the eOne family and was thus nominated as ‘Urban Worship Recorded Song of the year, 2017.”

Unveiling the news to his audience, Todd took to social media on Monday saying; Everything that God does is great, large and altogether better than anything we can do on our own. God you deserve the praise.

The 48th annual show will be held Oct. 17 at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. It will air Oct. 22 on Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Elsewhere, Zach Williams and Lauren Daigle lead artist nominations with five, followed by Chris Tomlin, Crowder, Kirk Franklin and NeedToBreathe with four nods each. Top nominated writer/producer Wayne Haun scored six nods, and Bernie Herms and David Garcia have five nods each.

“I’m thrilled to celebrate another year of Dove Awards nominations!” GMA President Jackie Patillo said in a press release. “Our artists and creatives sacrifice year-round to share their sound with the world. Our theme this year is Sound the Remedy; we believe the message of Gospel and Christian music offers God’s remedy to the world.”

Nominees are determined by over 1,500 professional members, and winners will be voted on by the entire GMA membership of nearly 2,500.

About Todd Dulaney

Todd was in Uganda for over 3 days, beginning 17th February 2017 ministering at Miracle Centre Cathedral, Rubaga during the climax of the second season of 77 Days of Glory.

The American gospel musician told Elev8 Magazine: “I really had on idea how big it had become until I got a chance to go to Uganda, and realized that the people, when they sing these words, they are not just saying “Victory belongs to Jesus,” it is a way of life. It is a declaration they are committed to share forever.”

“I got off the plane in Uganda, and immediately, things were different. (A new world)…things are off the hook. Everywhere we go, they are shaking our hands, saying Victory belongs to Jesus,” Todd said, “You have no idea who God is speaking your name too, or where he is making your name great.”
