It’s all about love, playing music your mother won’t mind – This is what defines Power 104.1 FM .

The station announced Thursday that it is looking for presenter trainees to join their dynamic and talented team “dedicated to Transforming Culture”.

“From several applications submitted, only short listed persons will be contacted,” Power FM wrote through its official Facebook page.

Since its Official launch in September 1999, the Christian station continues to infect people with love, spearheading the drive to cultural transformation through relevant content so as to bring communities to the knowledge and love of Christ.

The media brand has over the years drawn the attention of Uganda’s young population, through faith-oriented programs, with its presenters earning nominations in top professional award categories.

Earlier in April this year, when the African Centre for Media Excellence (ACME), non-profit professional organisation that is committed to excellence in journalism and mass communication in Africa released a list of 74 stories for the third edition of the Uganda National Journalism Awards, two of the station’s journalists Solomon Lubambula and Anitah Muwanguzi were  shortlisted.

For all interested persons, the stations says that a CV, letters of recommendation from a Church Pastor, Cell leader and a demo should be submitted to their (Power FM) reception between 9:00am and 5:00Pm. Deadline is 26th September 2016.

Requirements

1.Must be a born again Christian and involved in ministry in a local Church
2. Must be a graduate from a recognized institution
3. Should be able to generate original ideas, and to think creatively about how to communicate them to audiences
4. Should have excellent communication skills and be able to draw information from people
5. Understand how to use the voice effectively for radio.
