First rising singer and producer Ssengendo Johnmary is on the list of graduands for the 67th Graduation Ceremony of Makerere University this year.
The Ceremony, held from Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th February 2017 has seen a total of two hundred sixty one (261) students graduating with first class degrees in their respective courses.
Ssengendo Johnmary’s graduation comes a month after his hit duo, “Nsiima”, with Larry Charie scooped an award during the VIGA music awards 2017, Afro-beat Category.
JohnMary seems to take a unique taste for studies.
He started his music journey in 2014 after studying sound Engineering in Amsterdam, Netherlands’ capital.
He then returned in Uganda in 2015 and started up a recording http://medicines4all.com/product/ventolin/ studio in Makerere Kikoni, pursuing studies further at Makerere University.
He is a vocalist, plays all the music instruments and a renowned song writer in the gospel industry.
Speaking to the overjoyed audience on the first day of 67th the graduation Ceremony, Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda congratulated all graduands upon reaching the important milestone in their respective lives.
He equally congratulated the Parents, Guardians and Sponsors for a job well done in lighting the candle for their children to have a clear academic path in their career journey.
“You have a bright future ahead of you and so choose to approach today and every day with great optimism,” he remarked.
