Many slip by in life without purpose, spending their lives on trivial diversions, living for comfort and pleasure, and perhaps trying to be like someone else. Light the World Church senior pastor, Wilson Bugembe says we were not created by God to be caught up in a life that counts for nothing.
He challenges Christians to live and dream, plan and work. He states that just like a woman in labor, no mater the pain, it does not matter how long it will take! Push your dreams.
These words were shared by the gospel singer during the annual Africa Haguruka (Africa arise and shine) Conference at IPRC Stadium Kigali, Rwanda which is hosted by Apostle Dr. Paul M. Gitwaza, the Senior Pastor of Zion Temple Celebration Center (ZTCC) Kigali.
In his remarks to his social media audience on Thursday relating to the conference, Pastor Wilson Bugembe used Genesis 35 to urge Christians to move past pain and let hope into their lives.
“Die trying to birth your dreams. Rachael died when giving birth to a son. As she was about to die, the midwife said, “Push it’s a baby boy!” She pushed Benjamin with all her little left energy. She did it! , She din’t make it but she made it. Good Pain!” Pr Bugembe said.
If the pain you’ve suffered in your past is still impacting your life now, Bugemebe said you can’t fully embrace the new life God offers you because you’ll be stuck in a frustrating cycle of brokenness that leaves you feeling hopeless.
“Even when she [Rachael] died, Jacob barred her on the way and moved on. Learn to move on! We all know what Benjamin turned into. Imagine if Racheal din’t push him out on her death bed. She must have died with a smile. At least her baby was saved! May God give you an idea that can change your life, family and country – An idea worth dying for!” Pr Bugembe said.
“A soldier looks good in his combat – we all want to put it on and be saluted but hate the training. Stay in school! Go through bad seasons as you wait for good ones. Don’t just be a student going to school, be a student with a dream. It’s not money that changes the world but the dreams. Don’t just be a human being passing through life, but have a dream! I pray that on your death bed, you will look back and say, yes that idea I pushed made the world a better place!” He added.
According to the organisers, the Africa Haguruka (Africa arise and shine) Conference is intend to teach on the 7 spheres of influence and how Christians can attain impact. It started 2nd and will end 9th July 2017.
Apostle Dr. Paul M. Gitwaza is the President of the Alliance of Evangelical Churches in Rwanda. He also serves as the general overseer to 11 other Zion Temple Celebration Centers that the ministry planted in other major Rwandan urban centers.
