State Minister of Ethics and Integrity, Father Simon Lokodo has reportedly told media sources that renowned singer and mother, Desire Luzinda is going to be charged for indecent exposure.
This development comes after “nude photos” of the singer surfaced on several news outlets in Uganda on Monday.
At the time of issuing his statement to ChimpReports on Tuesday, Father Simon Lokodo was naive of this incident that has since raised debate among Ugandans who believe the singer purposefully released these photos for reasons this website is unable to confirm.
“Nobody has told me, I’m just surprised…I’m just going to arrest her, this is too much,” Lokodo is quoted as saying.
Desire Luzinda is one of many artists that graced Pr Wilson Bugembe’s “Celebrity Sunday” service in 2015 at Light the world Church Nansana. This gathering happened at a time the same singer had fallen victim of leaked nude photos.
It was reported that this happened when she had a misunderstanding with her lover, who out of revenge, shared her nude photos.
Desire told the congregants that she has been able to stand strong due to strength she has gotten from different people.
“I literally died emotionally. I was at home when everything happened on Facebook. I could not think for a moment. I was like ‘Is this true’? I spent four days and it had not sunk it. I spent days crying and sleeping. I could wake up and see people living normal lives and I could not,” she narrated.
“Do you regret your actions,” Bugembe asked. Luzinda said, “I regretted a thousand times and asked myself why I did it but then I want to thank Halima Namakula, Annette Nandujja and Seya (Hajji Nasser Ssebagala). They made me realise that I am human and what I did was just a mistake. I was in love. I didn’t do it for the public. By the way I am Born again.”
And if she [Luzinda] had met Jesus then, she said she would ask him for forgiveness and for her daughter not cursing her.
