We come to you, and this is our forth time.
When 3 times we were under attack last year, you heard and healed us.
Afterwards, we gave ourselves public holidays, celebrated the Martyrs day, the Heroes day, voted and sworn in our leaders et cetera. But we were like the lepers who did not return to give thanks. Oh Lord, forgive us. We have sinned indeed. We have shed innocent blood, broken hearts, and caused wounds. Heal us and bind us today. We have stolen, taken that which is not ours – even thing that belong to orphans and widows. We have lied and destroyed others for our selfish gains. We have not cared for each other. We keep saying, ‘I am not my brother’s keeper.’ Yet in Isaiah 58:8 you say, if we feed the hungry, care for the refugees, dress the naked, our success will be like the sun rays, and our healing will come speedily.
Father we pray for those in hospitals. We pray for our health system in Uganda, and we pray for all Ugandans to be healed. Lord, on behalf of Uganda, and on behalf of our government and our nation, I vow that this time around we will plan to succeed, because if we don’t plan to succeed we plan to fail. We will not distribute rice, beans with stones or steal food that is meant for the poor.
On behalf of all of us, including our first family, Lord we receive you as our Healer.
We vow to give you a day of thanksgiving when this [pandemic] is over. And it will be done yearly, permanently in the land of Uganda. A thanksgiving that is not just ‘verbal’, but one in which we will bring our national tithe, individual offerings – in cash and kind – led by our first family, the clergy, the business community and all Ugandans.
Lord, the season of elections is over, we pray that you heal us from the arrogance of winning and the frustration of losing, that we will embark, being one in spirit, to understand the mandate entrusted on our country to rebuild again, and to look into the 42 generations from Abraham to Christ. We receive that blessing. These generations from Abraham to Christ, were altar builders. Abraham was a nation builder, David was a national developer. Solomon was a national wealth creator, the Babylonian captives were national lifters and Jesus Christ our Lord was a global Saviour, Redeemer, Healer, and Protector.
Lord, heal our minds, so that we may think as you are. Heal our hearts, so that we may love as you love. Heal our hands, that we may share what we have with others and work as you want us to. Everyone you healed you made whole. Make us whole. Dear Lord Jesus, like the woman with an issue of blood, Uganda our motherland has many issues. Let us stop bleeding. By faith and our confession Lord, make us whole in every area of our lives; spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, and family wise.
In your Word you have said that You are the Lord who heals us. You said, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27). You forgive our sins and heal our diseases . Psalm 103:3 says, “Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.” You sent forth your word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). Heal Lord our relationships, starting with one we have with you. Heal us, oh merciful father. Gracious Lord heal us. Isaiah 38:18 says, For the dead cannot praise you…Therefore Lord, give us life, from the north to the south, from the east to the west. Therefore, we take authority over this COVID because you say in James 4:7, ‘Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.’
We take authority over COVID-19 pandemic and its variants. You Covid, you are in the wrong country. You came to a no-nonsense people. This is the land of the Nile, in which Moses was saved, and which Jesus drunk from, together with all the Hebrew people who defeated slavery…
Hey you devil COVID-19, get your geography right. This is not India. We are not Brazil. We are neither China or U.S. This is the land that defeated Idi Amin and Joseph Kony. We trampled upon your cousins, HIV/AIDS, Ebola, SARS and others. Maybe the other demons of death that came before you did not tell you the truth, let us tell you…, you are a dirty demon, that is why we kill you by simply washing our hands. Locusts attack other nations, destroy their crops, but when they came and laid their eggs here, they never came to pick them up. You are dealing with a wrong people. The terrorists came here, and blew up our people. We took the war to them in their hiding place in Somalia. You are dealing with the wrong crowd. Therefore your time is up. Pack your bags and leave in Jesus’ mighty name.
You have locked our schools and churches, trying to change our way of life, but now, you must pack and leave. In these 42 days, we declare war on you. We will wash our hands with water and soap in order to handle you with no mercy. We will wear our masks in order to communicate in a way that you do not understand. We will social distance, to space ourselves in order to shoot you down. We will pray and call on fire to finish you off. James 4:7, ‘Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.’ So we declare a new movement in Uganda called PUSH; P(pray) U(until) S(something) H(happens).
