The Singer, together with his support staff/students at Yimba Uganda, a not for Profit youth-run organisation that develops and nurtures entrepreneurial and life skills among Ugandan youth, have contributed towards a charitable drive by Power FM Uganda dubbed “Easter in Prison.”
Together with his wife, Anne they donated 50 reusable sanitary pads, that will be delivered to the women in Luzira prison. These items were warmly received Saturday by Power FM Uganda program’s manager Mr Gerald Rovis.
“The pads come with a bag, 2 shields and 8 liners. They can last a minimum of 3 yrs. We are grateful for the love and support.” Power FM said.
The Christian station took to social media this week announcing that they have received more that 6 million Uganda shillings, among other items, from the listeners and well wishers.
This money will go towards helping women in Luzira during the Easter season.
