In a worship service held at Gaba Community Church, different national flags were lifted up and waved in the air as a prophetic sign that God is breaking all invisible barriers to evangelism wheresoever Christians have been commissioned to disciple and share the gospel of salvation.

Pr Peter Kasirivu who led the prayer and worship-filled moment proclaimed that, “God is sending us to the nations!”

“Find a flag and move around – Wave it to the glory of God – We want you to got to as many counties as you can,” he told the congregation, which just ended its start-of-the-year fast.

As this was done, Pr Kasirivu said God is breaking barriers and He is bringing healing, deliverance and encouragement. He emphasized that God is sending many Christians from Africa to different to nations.

This was proceeded with Israel Houghton’s “We Speak To Nations” song which speaks of an outpouring of God’s Spirit, freedom and submission of nations to God’s supremacy.

“Can we pray for those nations,” the preacher said. “Break the walls of resistance. Pray for the Muslim nations, God will set them free. We pray for the Arab world, China, North Korea.”

This Worship Service come on the heels of the Lead Conference, a global annual gathering at the Church where influential people share knowledge, their journey, and tips on how to be exceptional in whatever Christians do in the society.

UG Christian News reported on 11 January that as many as 215 million followers of Christ around the world are being persecuted because of their faith; that means 1 in 12 Christians live where Christianity is “illegal, forbidden, or punished.”

The findings were issued in the ‘Open Doors World Watch List’ 2018 report, an annual ranking of the 50 countries where Christians face the most persecution.

North Korea was ranked as the most dangerous country for Christians for the 16th consecutive year. But rivaling it this year is Afghanistan, which ranked No. 2 by less than a point.

In total, Open Doors found that 3,066 Christians were killed last year. Also, 1,252 Christians were abducted, 1,1020 were raped or sexually harassed, and 793 churches were attacked.
