It is official, worship leader and recording gospel artiste Brian Lubega is a Pastor.
Word of Life Community Church Kampala, Uganda has ordained the sensational worshiper and song writer as a lead Pastor.
The ordination took place yesterday before the deacons and trustees of the church, with multitudes gathered for both the morning and main service so as to testify to the special occasion.
There was laying on of hands, an act that set Brian apart and signified the imparting of spiritual blessings, authority, and power.
Thereafter, one speaker after the other, gave him tools and words of wisdom on how to embrace the new season commenced in his life.
Brian, who recently welcomed a bouncing baby boy, married Mary Gorret on 17th January, 2015. The author took a vacation shortly after and has since been engaged fully in ministry around the country.
“I thank the Lord for the responsibility he assigned me today, I thank my pastor for believing in me and for my wife for standing by my side and for the members of word of life for allowing me serve them.” He says.
The 31-year-old says that he joined Word of Life Community Church at the age of 16.
“I entered word of life community church, as a young and need[y] person, I was not given food or fees I was given the bible, the word of God is my testimony, without the word I have no conversation, no song, no sermon, no life, no love. I am what I am because of the word of God.”
The same ceremony saw his son, now about 4 months, dedicated before the Lord.
Pr Brian has released a number of powerful worship songs that include Nungamya, Asaanide and Wegukubira.
Members of the Church, fellow gospel artists, Pastors and media personalities have taken to social media congratulatory messages wishing Brian the very best.
“Congs Pr. Brian Lubega, May God use you more and more to touch heaven and change earth. Your ministry has always blessed me.” One Christian wrote.
“Have courage my friend. Hard times will come, but Jesus has already ensured the victory. The Word of Life community is blessing by your presence.” Another remarked.
