Congratulations are in order for well known worship leader and recording gospel musician Pr Brian Lubega and his wife, Mary, who are celebrating three (3) years of marriage today.
The “Wegukubira” hit singer took to social media on Wednesday to share interesting and helpful tips for living out a lifelong marriage commitment.
The excited worshiper said many people didn’t believe that he could even pass a marriage proposal to someone, purporting that he was too shy.
Brian Lubega, who leads Word of Life Community Church – Kampala, wrote that he faced criticism with some underestimating his ability and that of the woman he had chosen for a wife.
“But after seeing you I got very holy, because you carried something complete from the Lord,” he said.
He continued: “Marriage is holy and honorable. We thank God who has helped us to keep it the way He ordained it to be, in three years. We believe there is more in God’s store for us.”
Brian married Mary Gorret on 17th January, 2015. The author took a vacation shortly after and has since been engaged fully in ministry around the country.
“To the singles out there marriage is not a gig,” he stressed.
“To the ones that are confused you are too awake for God to get a perfect rib out of you, please allow God to get you into a deep sleep. To the dating, a husband loves a wife not a girlfriend, a wife submits to a husband not a boyfriend,” he said.
Brian stated that husbands are not referees in marriage, but key players and part of the team.
