Born-again Church leaders some of who are under umbrella organisation, the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches of Uganda (NFBPCU) have distanced themselves from three renown city Pastors over claims that the doctrine they are teaching followers contains errors and does not align with the revealed Word of God, the Bible.
The group had repudiates Samuel Kakande, head of the Synagogue Church of all Nations – Uganda, Yiga Augustine of Revival Christian Church Kawaala and Ronnie Makabai, the general overseer of the Evangelical Truth Ministries.
According to Pr Jackson Senyonga, basing on the actions, behavior, teaching and belief of the trio, they do not support the doctrine given in God’s Word.
“They are an enemy to the Word of God and Christ Jesus,” Pr Senyonga said while addressing journalists at Christian Life Church – Bwaise this week.
“They manipulate and bring indecency to the body of Christ. Freely we received, freely we give to the people that we pray for. We do not solicit money from them. We are not witchcraft practitioners. We are making an appeal to the general public that those people are not part of us and what they do is against the law,” Apostle Tumwine Charles of New Life Harvest church international stated.
Apostle Kimuli Michael who was also present at the press briefing said it is a great challenge for the general public to properly discern preachers who are genuine from those who are false and as a result, the church has suffered heavy criticism and many lead astray.
“This is why we had to come out. Otherwise, you can be introduced at gathering as a Pastor and people take you for a fraudster,” he said. Also Present was Apostle Bunjo of Christian Restoration Ministries and Bishop Daniel Waddimba.
Ugandans have overtime expressed discontentment over false bible ministers that corrupt the gospel to make money and, reports allege such individuals use it to live utterly self-fulfilled lives. This outcry prompted the ministry of Ethics and integrity to propose means of regulating activities of faith based organisations, a move that has till this day received mixed reactions.
Founded 1990, NFBPC has over 22,000 members, mainly Pentecostal churches and Para-church organizations. It is registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (non-profit making), and a premier network of indigenous Pentecostal institutions in Uganda.
Bishop Joshua Lwere, the organisation General Overseer who replaced Apostle Mitala in 2003 says it’s the cultic massacre of 2000 that awoke the organisation movement.
