Charis Bible College in Kampala has sent out some of its students on mission trips to unreached districts across Uganda.
The initiative aimed at “revealing the love of God to wounded hearts, healing the sick and setting the captives free” started August 10th, 2018 with students divided into groups, some to Arusha, Karamoja and Mbarara.
“Such a priceless opportunity the Lord has given us,” the College remarked through a statement shared online.
Charis Bible College said the trips are part of their mission and desire to transform lives and train leaders in Uganda.
“The Second Year Mbarara team went out for door to door evangelism. Many received the free gift of the gospel, many others listened and seeds of the gospel were planted,” the College said, quoting Romans 10:15 which says; and how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things.
Charis Bible College said the excitement to minister the gospel in a foreign land with a different culture is tangible among the students, and they can’t wait to hear the endless testimonies.
The College is an extension of Andrew Wommack Ministries and it seeks to “equip faithful men and women for the work of the ministry by teaching spiritual truths, imparting biblical knowledge, providing practical ministry opportunities, and grounding them in the message of God’s unconditional love and grace.”
“Every believer is called to be a minister of Christ; some are called to pastor, some to evangelize, some to prophesy, but we are all, as believers, called to go forth and make disciples!
“We at Charis believe effective ministry can only happen when we understand who God is and what our relationship is with Him. Once we understand the grace and love of God and our identity in Him, we can make an effortless impact in our world,” they say.
