Are you still on course?

Don't be deceived by results.

By Pastor Ben Ochola

Many begin well but take a detour along the way.

They start drifting off slowly with a little compromise here and there and before you know it, they are totally off track.

Most false apostles, pastors, teachers or prophets didn’t start as false ministers.

A slight drift off from  the original course which went unnoticed and eventually was exploited by the enemy. They then turned into pseudo ministers.

Take a stop and evaluate yourself. Paul encourages us to do so.

2 Corinthians 13:5

“Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; prove your own selves. ….”

“Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves….”

“Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves….”

Many ministers and ministries today are a shadow of what they were when they first started.

You can’t even match what was and what is now.

It takes humility to admit you are off track and get back on course.

Don’t be deceived by results.

Calling and gifts can still manifest but when you are already in the shadow.

Revelation 2:4-5

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love.

Remember therefore from where you areh fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto you quickly, and will remove your lampstand out of its place, except you repent..”

Are the motives still clean?

Is it still about Him or something else?

Are you still walking in the original mandate?

Have you departed from the simplicity of devotion to Christ?

Ask yourself honest questions and permit the Holy Spirit to expose you to yourself.

Is it about pleasing men or God?

2 Timothy 2:20-21

“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and fit for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”

Jeremiah 6:16

“Thus says the LORD, Stand you in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it, and you shall find rest for your souls….”

All these restlessness we see today in ministers and ministries is because many have abandoned their original mandate.

May the Holy Spirit help you locate the ancient path for your life and ministry and help you live a life worthy of the calling in your life.

Stay blessed, and highly favored.
