Apostle Umar Mulinde of Gospel Life Church International, has just offered a major update about his health.

This development comes after a Friday report by UG Christian News wherein the Apostle’s family confirmed that he had been admitted to Sheba Medical Centre in Tel Aviv, Israel after experiencing breathing problems.

“I appreciate those who are sending me prayers and best wishes. I am responding positively to the medication and trusting God for a quick recovery,” the Apostle revealed Monday, through a statement published on his official media platforms.

The news comes as a relief to many Christians, who have been concerned about the preacher’s health.

The Apostle linked his current health status to the 2011 horrific acid attack.

“Due to effects of previous horrific acid burns, recently I developed a serious health problem while in Uganda, and contacted my Israel Doctors, after virtual telemedicine examination, Doctors advised me to go to Israel for review,” he said.

“The treatment services they offer me in Israel are not available in Uganda. My health situation has been critical experiencing respiratory failure therefore utilizing ventilators,” he explained.

On 24th December, 2011, Mulinde was attacked by muslim extremists in Uganda who poured acid on him seeking his death because of his conversion to Christianity from Islam and his progressive Gospel preaching that has changed many Muslims.

Despite his condition, Apostle Umar Mulinde continues to encourage the body of Christ to preach the truth of the gospel boldly; and to stand up and be the light of world regardless of the challenges brought about by radical religious groups and humanism ideology.

“Please note, I am not fundraising through anybody or any channel in Uganda. I am not asking for money, all I need is prayer. The Lord has provided for me enough money to successfully go through this challenge ( Lk 12:24, Ps 145:18-20, Phil.4:19, Ps 20:6),” he said.
