(Press Release) – Renowned American Bible teacher Andrew Wommack is expected in Kampala, Uganda this week for a two-day conference dubbed; the Gospel Truth Seminar.
The free event is scheduled for Friday 19th and Saturday 20th October at the Hockey Grounds, Lugogo Sports Complex. It will start from 6pm to 9.30pm each day, however gates will be open from 2pm.
Wommack, who is passionate about God’s unconditional love and Grace, is the founder of Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College which he started in 1978 and 1994, respectively.
According to Pastor Robert Kayania of Miracle Centre and 77 Days of Glory, “Andrew Wommack is one of the finest teachers of the Word, people are blessed by his Ministry”.
Wommack will also speak at Worship Harvest Church – Naalya on 21 October from 5:30pm to 8:30 pm and then at Glory of Christ Church, before setting off to Kenya.
About Wommack
He started preaching in 1969 and married his wife Jamie in 1972. Over the next six years, they led three small churches and had two sons, Joshua and Jonathan Peter. In 1976, Wommack broadcast his first Gospel Truth radio programme on a little country and western station in Childress, Texas.
Gospel Truth TV programme
In January 2000, Wommack broadcast the first Gospel Truth television programme on INSP Network. The response to the message was tremendous, and since then, several television networks, including Day Star Network, The Church Channel, Christian Televison Network, GOD TV, Trinity Broadcasting Network, among others broadcast the programme daily.
Miracles and healings
Wommack teaches that born-again Christians, by the authority of Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, can miraculously heal and raise people from the dead. He states that his younger son, Jonathan Peter, was raised from the dead by the power of God on March 4, 2001.
“I’ve personally seen three people raised from the dead, including my own son. He had been dead for almost five hours, and had already turned black. His toe was tagged and he was lying on a slab in the hospital morgue,” Wommack says.
He has also witnessed people get healed of several illnesses, including cancers, visual impairments, the lame getting out of wheelchairs and demons cast out during his meetings.
