Dubbed the Ark Encounter, a full-scale Noah’s Ark attraction and theme park opened on Thursday, July 7 in Williamstown, Ky in U.S.

As the Ark Encounter site explains, they have built the £77million replica of Noah’s ark to prove that the story actually happened, and to answer questions that include; “How big was Noah’s Ark? How did Noah fit all the animals on board? How did Noah feed and care for all the animals? How did Noah build the Ark?” , “We built the full-size Noah’s Ark to answer these questions—and more!”

Ark Encounter not only includes the 510-feet long, 85-feet wide and 51-feet high ark replica, but also a zoo and museum.

“I believe this is going to be one of the greatest Christian outreaches of this era in history,” said Ken Ham, president of Answers in Genesis, the ministry that built the ark.

Ham says the massive ark, based on the tale of a man who got an end-of-the-world warning from God about a massive flood, will stand as proof that the stories of the Bible are true.

The long-awaited theme park based on the story of a man who got a warning from God about a worldwide flood will debut in central Kentucky this Thursday. Ham’s group has estimated it will draw 2 million visitors in its first year, putting it on par with some of the big-ticket attractions in nearby Cincinnati.
