Global Christian broadcast leader TBN has announced that it is partnering with Hillsong Church to launch its own 24-hour network this June.
Hillsong Church is popular among the youth for inspirational Christian music and, life-changing praise and worship music.
It has of late attracted Hollywood celebrities like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens.
TBN at the same time is currently one of the largest Christian television networks in the world, currently viewed by most Christians in Uganda as well.
The 24-hour network — with a planned distribution footprint including broadcast, cable, and nearly a dozen satellites around the world — will combine the best in cutting-edge worship from the most gifted singers, songwriters, and musicians, with dynamic ministry from internationally acclaimed pastors and teachers.
“It’s very scary, but very exciting,” Senior Pastor Brian Houston told his Hills Campus congregation in Sydney Australia late February. “God miraculously is providing for it,” he added as quoted by The Christian Mail.
Matthew Crouch additionally said that information will become available in the weeks ahead of the network’s planned June 15th official launch.
“We’re encouraging everyone to stay tuned as we prepare to introduce what we believe is one of the most exciting positive broadcast additions to come along in recent history,” he said. “We think it’s going to help broaden the scope and outreach of faith-and-family television worldwide.”
