The Deputy Speaker of the Ugandan parliament, Rt. Hon. Thomas Bangirana Tayebwa is expected to join multitudes of Christians in western Uganda for the annual March for Jesus slated for 27 May, 2022.
The event, organised by Daystar cathedral church where Bishop Nassan Ibrahim Turyamureeba is lead Pastor, includes various missional activities, where believers of all ages, races, join together to intercede for the country, its leaders and for the unreached peoples all across the globe.
Organisers of the Jesus March believe that as they publicly lift up Jesus, He draws men and women to Himself.
The March, they say, also presents the church to the world as a vital and relevant force. “By boldly declaring our faith in such a positive way, shame is broken, and Christians are stirred to be more than silent witness.”
Ahead of the Jesus March, Daystar Cathedral is expected to host Dr Joseph Serwadda, the Presiding Apostle of Born Again Faith for a Pastor’s Convention on 26 May, 2022.
Last year, the ministry estimated the number of participants at 10,000 from among other areas; Mitooma, Bushenyi, Buhweju, Isingiro, Kiruhura, Bukanga, Sheema. They included government officials, city leaders, the Uganda Police Force Band, bishops, pastors and others from America and Israel.
