The Founder and Senior Pastor of Christianity Focus Centre Church, Mengo Kisenyi in Kampala, has opened up for the first time about a new addition to his family.
Speaking to a local TV broadcaster on Thursday, Bishop David Livingstone Kiganda, stated that his wife Pastor Cindy Kiganda gave birth to twins after 8 years in marriage.
Unfortunately, one of the babies passed away.
Bishop Kiganda stated that the other twin, Miracle Nakato Kiganda, lives, and is in great health.
“My wife [Cindy Kiganda] was unable to conceive for the 8 years we have spent in marriage. During her ministration, she was often mocked as some questioned her for not giving birth. This brought her discomfort,” Kiganda explained.
“I told her to take her attention off the critics and look to God. I urged her to stay committed to prayer so that God opens up her womb. Here we are, God answered our prayer, and she gave birth,” he said.
Kiganda noted her wife’s health could have deteriorated had she spent all her time on those taunting her because of her condition.
His appeal to married couples currently praying for the fruit of the womb is to remain focused on God who answers prayer.
Bishop Kiganda and Cindy exchanged their wedding vows Saturday 6th April, 2013 at The Life Changing Ministries in Harare, Zimbabwe. The wedding was officiated by Pastor Langton Kanyati of the same church. The preacher has six (6) children from his first marriage.
