When we are born again, there are things to learn, and things to unlearn. Habits to form and habits to break.

The New Testament is filled with powerful testimonies about people whose lives were dramatically transformed when they received the indwelling of God’s Spirit. This same miraculous, life-changing Spirit is available today, teaches Ugandan Pastor Charles Kasibante.

Quoting Hebrews 12:1-3 in a release on Tuesday, the vision bearer of House of Inspiration Church Mutundwe, Kampala encouraged believers to cross-examine their lives, and also get rid of any and every hindrance to knowing and walking with the Lord.

“In the world we are living in, there so many things as Christians that hinder us from changing or being transformed and one of them is sin,” he said.

The team leader at Rest TV Uganda explained that being a follower of Jesus Christ means much more than going to church. It means letting the Holy Spirit change you.

“We all have a sin that easily entangles us, but when you diagnose the problem, that’s the beginning of change because you can’t change what you have not acknowledge,” he said. “The devil knows your ability, but his interest is in your weakness. One thing you should know is that you can’t change yourself, (you must) yield to the Holy Spirit to change you.”

“The moment you sin and you are not convicted by the Holy Spirit, just know you are in trouble. Have you ever realized that sometimes what another person does comfortably, for you it feels wrong? Always pray to have power over an old sin and only the Holy spirit can help you on that,” he continued.

Pastor Charles Kasibante urged that God has never been afraid to receive anyone “the way they are” because “He has the power to transform you and make you new.” He asserted when God wants to change a life, the first thing He does is to change their association.

“The greatest seasons in your life are birthed when you are transformed. Simply know there is always “better.” Refuse to be the same because the God you serve is a God of transformation,” he said.
