Julie Deborah: From miracle healing to finding love

Gospel musician and pastor attests to God’s faithfulness.

A cross section of Christians in Uganda flooded social media with congratulatory messages and thanksgiving prayers when gospel musician and Pastor Julie Deborah walked down the aisle recently.

For many, her wedding just after a few years of miraculously recovering from a devastating car wreck, serve as clear evidence of God’s restoration and mercy.

Now Julie Muyinza, the ‘Oli Kimuli Kyange’ song composer revealed in a statement that her achievements – including the wedding – would not have been possible without God.

“We give God the glory, and the Holy Spirit,” she said.

Julie was in 2015 involved in a fatal car accident in Kyengera, along Masaka road that almost claimed her life. Her survival and recovery continues to shock medical professionals.

She woke up from a coma with no memory that she was a Pastor.

Some had actually announced her dead due to the seemingly irreparable injuries she sustained during the tragic incident, including brain hemorrhage.

“When I had an accident. I was overwhelmed by what was said,” she revealed earlier.

Adding: “When doctors came to cross examine my body, they said my heart had stopped beating. They told those that had come to see me that if there were any chances of recovery, I would be mentally unstable thereafter. But there was always an intercessor on the inside.”

Surviving to Thriving

Restoration is a recurring theme in scripture and Mrs. Muyinza’s testimony today is likened to Psalm 107:35 in which the writer observed that God, “turns a wilderness into a pool of water and a dry ground into water springs.”

The founder of Prayer Healing Tabernacle International Ministries, Kibili-Ggangu quotes Psalms 34:4 in her testimony saying, “I sought for the Lord and He heard me, and delivered me from all fears.”
