Popular ‘War Room’ actress, author and bible teacher Priscilla Shirer who recently raised 1.6 billion Shillings to support vulnerable women and girls in Uganda, has asked Christians worldwide to pray for her after revealing that she’ll be having surgery to remove a lobe of her left lung.
Charisma News reported on Saturday that Shirer, whose mother, Lois Evans, passed away Dec. 30, says doctors discovered a nodule on her left lung three years ago.
“Three years ago, my doctors discovered a small nodule in my left lung. Several pulmonary specialists and I have watched it meticulously since then. This past summer, it was clear that something surgical needed to be done as the nodule had begun to grow and show signs of dangerous irregularities,” she posted on her official Facebook Page.
“As you know, the past few months has been filled with alot of difficulty for my entire family. For those reasons, the surgery was delayed but I cannot put it off any longer without jeopardizing my own health. So this Monday, 1/13/20, surgeons will be removing an entire lobe of my left lung,” she added.
Through it all, Priscilla Shirer is still believing God. Priscilla Shirer played Elizabeth Jordan in the 2015 Christian movie about prayer titled “War Room.”
“We are trusting Him for a favorable outcome and that I will return to full health personally and full function in ministry,” he said.
In 2018, Watoto Church Pastor Eddie Mwesigye revealed that Priscilla partnered with the church and held a weeks-long fundraising drive to support the Ministry’s holistic care program of rescuing vulnerable women living with HIV/Aids, widows and orphans and vulnerable children.
Priscilla Shirer , who is also the Going Beyond Ministries founder, noted that although she targeted Uganda shillings 937,500, 0000 (US$250,000) to support Watoto, she exceeded this.
