Lira residents, and those from the surrounding towns in northern Uganda gathered at Mayor’s Garden this past week, Aug. 14 – 17, to hear the good news about Jesus Christ at a crusade organised by Pastor Denis Amos Emojong of Embassy of God Ministries.
Many more attended the crusade via a live internet broadcast.
The Greater Glory Miracle Crusade started with a ‘Jesus March’, where Ministers of the Gospel, church stewards of Embassy of God Ministries and Christians from Lira and across the country stormed Lira town to share the gospel and also create awareness.
“As they moved from street to street declaring the Lordship of Jesus over the town, many people left their business to join the match. This was taken to another level when the Uganda Police band joined the procession with heavenly music that characterized so much beauty and glory in Christ,” the Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
From Day one to the last day of the Crusade, they registered outstanding attendance which grew till the place became too small.
During his sermon, Pastor Dennis among other things taught of the work of the Holy Spirit, bringing the congregation to remembrance the things which Christ has already fulfilled in their lives including the free gift of salvation.
“Several people were delivered, many notable miracles took place and Supernatural blessings were received by multitudes in attendance while he was teaching the Word of God. This was not any different for all the four days that we had the Believers’ Conference along side the Crusade,” the Ministry narrated.
Adding: “The paralysed and crippled walked, deaf people from less than 5 years of age to more than 40 years of age heard for the first time in many years, several people healed of Chronic back pain, scores of cancer patients were instantly healed during the Crusade.”
“At some point in the meeting, God instructed Pastor Denis to pray for the Holy Spirit to fill the crowd, to the glory of God, the Holy Spirit fell on the crowd so much that the Ushers were overwhelmed. Over 150 ministers did their best to support the Ushers but they were also overwhelmed as majority fell under power from one end of the Crusade ground to the other,” the statement read.
“When Pastor Denis made altar calls, people desperately ran to the altar to receive salvation, what a sight it was, what a hunger it was for Jesus. Glory to God! We thank God for the privilege to see these things. We are grateful to the Man of God – Pastor Denis; for obeying the call of God. We are so blessed to be part of this move of God,” it added.
