Notable U.S Pentecostal preacher and televangelist Bishop Noel Jones landed at Entebbe International Airport on Friday morning.
He will speak at a 3-day conference hosted by Pastor Isaac Kyobe Kiwewesi of Kansanga Miracle Center Church scheduled to begin the 26th of July, 2019.
Bishop Noel Jones, who is famous for his appearance in reality series, The Preachers of LA, was welcomed by several gospel ministers including Pastor Isaac Kyobe Kiwewesi, Rev Jerome Barber, Pastor Abbey Collins, Pastor Glaston Kayanja among others upon arrival in the country.
“I am happy to be here, this is my first time in Uganda,” Bishop Noel Jones told journalists at Entebbe International Airport.
“When I think about Entebbe, I think of Idi Amin,” he said, sparking laughter among Pastors.
Bishop Noel Jones noted that most people do not grasp the significance of theology. He added that Jesus is well able to take anyone “from anything to all things.”
“The main job of all these pastors and preachers is not being conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of their mind. When you meet Jesus, you meet yourself for the first time. Other people have decide the significance and importance of who you are, but until you understand the strength of who you are, no body else can regulate your future or determine how far you go,” he told press.
Bishop Jones is a frequent guest on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and has appeared as a panelist on both C-SPAN and NPR. He has traveled across the world, preaching, lecturing, teaching, encouraging and strengthening the faith of people across the globe.
The 69-year-old is senior pastor of the City of Refuge Church in Gardena, California, and in 1994 founded Noel Jones Ministries in an effort to address ‘religion’s inability to offer real relevance to the changing climate of the times.’
