Dr Joseph Serwadda is calling on Christians to be willing to give up their lives for Jesus and not compromise the Gospel by tolerating sin in Church.
Speaking at Liberty Worship Centre lnternational Lugala, Kampala on Sunday, the founder of Victory Christian Centre – Ndeeba said the world has come to a point where sin no longer matters.
“These days sin has become a habit of every christian. But God is choosing out a remnant. He wants a special people in whom His Glory will be manifested,” he said.
“If you want a blessing from God, we must make a resolution to refuse sin, and fight the fight of our lives to destroy it from our lives,” he said.
Dr Serwadda’s last appearance at Liberty Worship Centre was during its launch in 2014. He was on Sunday welcomed by the lead Pastor, Imelda Namutebi Kula and the husband Mr Tom Kula.
The duo described the preacher as a spiritual-father.
“I don’t remember ministering here since the official opening of this church. I’m not complaining, but I believe the best time is always God’s time,” he said.
Revival is breaking out at liberty, Dr Serwadda prophesied, God is turning this place into a stadium.
Reading from the bible book of Genesis 47, Dr Serwadda condemned envy and jealously among Christians.
In the biblical narrative, Joseph was sold into slavery by his “jealous” brothers, and rose to become vizier, the second most powerful man in Egypt next to Pharaoh, where his presence and office caused Israel to leave Canaan and settle in Egypt.
According to Dr Serwadda, ‘salvation to take away famine in Canaan was given to Joseph’, however, when his brothers sold him off, this blessing moved to Egypt.
Dr Serwadda explained that envy and jealously lead to transfer of power or a blessing.
“Joseph had a dream of feeding and governing nations. Cannan was meant to lead Egypt, but see how Joseph’s brothers sold him off to the other country… God will bless you in whichever place you are positioned.”
He also urged the body of Christ to cut itself away from fornication, divorce, witchcraft.
