Renowned Nigerian Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is expected to visit Uganda together with his wife Foluke Adenike Adeboye this June.

He is the general overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), which currently has several branches globally in about 196 nations, including more than 14,000 in Nigeria.

Speaking to Uganda Christian News on Tuesday, the national coordinator RCCG – Uganda, Pastor Ezekiel Kolawole Oladipupo confirmed Pastor Adeboye’s visit saying he will be in the country from the 11th of June, 2019 to the 16th of the same month at Kololo airstrip, among other places.

“Our father in the Lord E. A. Adeboye will be coming into the country for 6 days. This is the first of its kind, even in Africa. We are blessed that he is coming at a time our country really needs divine intervention,” Pastor Ezekiel said.

“We are believing God that many things are going to happen,” he added.

Pastor Adeboye was born on March 2, 1942 at Ifewara, Nigeria in the present day Osun State.

He had a strict Christian up-bring which was engineered by a church going culture. Before joining the Pentecostal church, the now 77-year-old was a mathematics lecturer, and worked at the universities of Lagos and Ilorin. He has a PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Lagos.

After he joined The Redeemed Christian Church Of God he began working to translate the sermons of its then Pastor and founder, Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, from Yoruba into English.

Adeboye is expected to arrive at Entebbe on the 11th of June, 2019. The following day, he will together with the wife visit the head of State.

“They will be speaking to all the Bishops, Apostles, Pastors and Evangelists among other people in ministry. This will be to encourage and sharpen them. Our father in the Lord has become a Pastor to Pastors and Bishops. His ministry has encouraged so many,” Pastor Ezekiel told Uganda Christian News.

“I believe so many pastors are going to be encouraged. As we stand at the pulpit, most of the time we are giving out, but there is no opportunity for us to also receive. Pastor E.A. Adeboye’s visit will be an opportune time for them to receive undiluted Word of God, so that we can leave better in these end times. These are very dangerous times for our generation. As pastors we need to become an example to the church, in order to win more souls,” he added.

Pastor Adeboye’s meeting with Church leaders will be followed by his address to the nation on 14th June, 2019 under the theme ‘Greater Glory’.

Pastor Adeboye’s wife Foluke Adenike Adeboye will on 15th June, 2019 launch the ‘Feast of Esther’, which is aimed at training and impacting Ministry leaders’ wives.

“This is a program set apart to impact the life of Pastors, Bishops and Apostles wives. They need to know what it takes for the ministry of their husbands to survive and succeed,” Pastor Ezekiel told Uganda Christian News.

The couple will also hold a thanks giving service at the national headquarters in Namuwongo, and launch the ‘Pastors’ Seed Family’, an initiative used to bring all the Pastors, ministers and workers’ children together to live a godly lifestyle for other young adults to emulate.

This will be on 16th June, 2019.

“When we are fully engaged in ministry, our Children are often left behind. But the church does not want what happened to the children of Eli (1 Samuel 2:12-36) or Samuel (1 Samuel 8:1-3) to happen to our children. That is why they are bringing together the children to be able to teach and pastor themselves. Uganda has not been having anything like this before,” Pastor Ezekiel Kolawole Oladipupo.

“He is coming here to achieve God’s mandate. Which is to win more souls to the kingdom of God,” he concluded.
