Deliverance Church Uganda has announced the safe return of one of its Pastors, Charles Byarahunga who was kidnapped along Kasese road earlier this week.
In a statement released Thursday, the Church administration said Pastor Byarahunga who leads Deliverance Church, Fort Portal, was abducted while on the way to his farm.
“Currently he is undergoing medical treatment after being roughed up badly,” the statement read in part, revealing that a ransom was paid for his release.
“I call upon each and every one you to stand in prayer at your altars, fellowships, meetings and during your weekly services to pray against this rising vice in our land. We as church have the answer,” it added.
Pr Charles Byarahunga’s kidnap comes following a recent wave of similar occurrences in the country – many of which go un-reported.
