KAMPALA – The Church in Uganda, including Pastors and gospel musicians have responded to Pastor Jessica Kayanja’s call for intercessors to arise and pray for Mrs Teddy Bugingo, wife of Pastor Aloysius Bugingo who heads House of Prayer Ministries International.

The Christian couple is reported to have fallen out months back due to Church assets, neglect and Pr Bugingo’s need to get a divorce.

Apostle John Bunjo, the founder of Christian restoration Ministries International told Pr Jessica Kayanja, “I love your approach.”

“We are joining you,” he said.

I totally agree with you Pr Jessica Kayanja, Apostle Tumwine Charles said.

Sarah Kimuli, wife of Pastor Michael Kimuli, the vision bearer and senior pastor of Christian Discipleship Ministries Int, told Pr Jessica Kayanja God must vindicate Mrs Teddy Bugingo for “He is her refuge and strong tower.”

I am behind this, Mrs Kimuli added.

Christian musicians Jackie Senyonjo, Julie Jasper and Hammy Darlin vowed to stand with the couple in prayer, urging that no marriage is too broken or too far gone for God’s restoring power.

“Indeed Hadassah must stay in Jesus’ Name for everyone to know that they that trust in The Lord will never be put to shame,” Singer Hammy Darlin remarked.

Pr Jessica Kayanja on Wednesday launched a prayer movement labelled ‘Haddasah Must Stay’ where she pulled down any hindrances to Mrs Teddy Bujingo’s ‘marriage seeds sown for 29 years.’

Her inspiration for prayer was drawn from the Biblical account of Queen Esther, also known as Haddasah, who prevailed and stayed in the palace of the King “despite her many foes.”

“I call upon every mother, married woman, child borne of a mother ,every Pastor’s wife and every one out there that upholds Holy Matrimony to join the Girl Power Team and I in prayer! The Hebrew woman will not leave her marriage,” Pr Jessica wrote on facebook.

Pastor Bugingo not happy

While appearing on Salt FM, Pastor Bujingo said Mrs Jessica Kayanja was wading into matters she had no knowledge of.

” I have never sat you down to tell you my family issues, a symbol which shows that we have nothing in common though (we are) not enemies. We have never stepped in your church, so if Teddy came to you then advise her wisely,” he said.
