Christian mothers in Uganda are set to meet at Seguku prayer mountain for two days of intense intercession for the younger generation this weekend.
This gathering under the tag line ‘mothers praying for their families and breaking spiritual strongholds’ will happen on the 27th and 28th of April from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm (EAT).
While announcing the initiative on Thursday, Mr Godfrey Kutesa, the vision bearer of Kuteesa Foundation and the Boys’ Mentorship Programme told parents “only you can pray for your child in a time like this.”
Kuteesa explained while launching the prayer movement last year that the enemy has redirected his energy to destroying the next generation, “by attacking our children especially sons at an early stage.”
“Unless you rise up as a mother to pray for your children, no one will do it for you,” he said then.
Prayer mountain is a private Pentecostal facility established in 1999 by Apostle John Mulinde of World Trumpet mission.
Information from the administrative office to media indicates that it was established for purposes of praying for all nations to enter into their redemptive purposes.
Often times, Christians from all over Africa trek up the hill to pray. The prayer mountain sits on about 80 acres and hosts large numbers of people for day and night prayers – both individual and group prayers.
