One of the tools that the enemy has effectively employed as he goes about opposing God’s plan for any Christian is the weapon of accusation and condemnation.
Accusations from the enemy lean heavy on the side of law, and often leave out the beauty of the new covenant relationship, which puts the entire scriptures into focus.
These remarks were made on Sunday as Pr Isaac Kiwewesi of Kansanga Miracle Centre encouraged believers not to tire in testifying and speaking the blood of Jesus over their life.
“God claims you as his son regardless of what you are going through. Even when you fall, if you rise up and repent, He restores you because you are his child,” Pr Isaac said.
The preacher used Revelation 12:10 in which Satan is referred to as “the accuser of our brethren.”
He urged that accusations from Satan seek to create a mindset built on performance, works and man-based righteousness.
This mindset will lead us into a lifestyle of earning what Christ paid for while the whole time never feeling that what is done in service is ever good enough, the Pastor said.
In order to receive and grow in the love of Christ, Pr Kiwewesi urged that Christians must remove the lens of condemnation and accusations.
“The accuser is against what Jesus died to give you (progress, growth and victory). Except you cast him down, you will not enjoy the life God destined for you,” he said.
“By use of the blood of Jesus, your testimony and dying to self, you have the power to defeat the accuser and possess what rightfully belongs to you,” he continued.
“When you fall, don’t stay down. People will contend and say your faith is in vain, and amazingly, some my be Born-again,” he said.
The Pastor urged that believers who struggle with deep feeling of unworthiness, who face deep battles of shame and regret regarding the past, should seek what is true, which is the unconditional love of Christ.
