Christian radio presenter and Pastor Mike Presson has challenged fellow men to take up responsibility and love their wives as Christ loved the Church, and gave himself up for her.
While sharing some adorable photos of his family on Wednesday, The fluent, yet soft spoken presenter said that when he got married to his wife Andrea Presson, he promised to always love and take good care of her.
He then made reference to Ephesians 5:25 which encourages couples to make the love which Christ has for the church the model.
Although divorce cases continue to escalate in the country, husbands are continuously told to imitate the Redeemer, Christ in this respect.
As he gave himself to suffer on the cross to save the church, so we are to be willing to deny ourselves, and to bear toil and trial – denouncing separation and divisions – that we may promote the happiness, freedom and joy of the family in our care.
Mike told this website at the beginning of this year that his wife’s music journey is one he has always stood to support.
“She decided to give out a free concert to anyone who loves worship music. This is our sacrifice of worship to God. It was quite challenging getting this together, but we have seen God do amazing things.” He said then.
