David Livingstone Kiganda, the Founder and President of Christianity Focus Centre has issued a statement that reveals that Saturday, April 22, 2017, has been proposed to be declared as a “Bible Black Saturday.”

The Bishop has called upon all Christians who lament, regret and condemn Pr Bugingo’s act of burning bibles in Uganda, to wear black clothes and gather at a specified venue to be decided and declared soon.

“A lamentation day is hereby proposed,” He said. “While today we are planing to take the Weddemu KTV show [to] another level with leaders (who talk and act), Saturday this week has been proposed to be declared as a ‘Bible Black Saturday’.”

Kiganda made this announcement Thursday morning through his official Facebook account, and emphasized the same during a prayer meeting at Christianity Focus Centre in Mengo, Kisenyi.

“We propose that, on that day, all people who lament, regret and condemn the act of Pastor Bujingo (Bible burning Project) should wear black, come in the morning and converge in one place. Prayer will be made [of ] repent before God so that a curse may not [fall] upon our Nation.”

Furthermore, Pr Kiganda says repentance will be made on behalf of the entire “Church in Uganda, the clergy, and the culprit himself. ”

Speeches from different spiritual senior leaders will be delivered to clarify the position of the Church in Uganda on the same issue.
