Sunday morning’s rainstorm left Watoto Church Ntinda’s gazebo down.

Thank God no one was there at the time, one of the Church attendants Susan Carolyn says.

Carolyn says that when the day’s preacher, Pastor Eddie, stood to share the word of God, “we couldn’t hear him for the sound of the rain on the roof, impeccable sound address system notwithstanding. So he called the worship team on, so we could sing a few songs as we waited for the rain to subside. Subside it did not. The strong winds began then, blowing rain into the structure. Those seated at the open outer sides were relocated to the centre.”

“We would like to apologise for the inconvenience at Watoto Church Ntinda today due to heavy rains. There was no structural damage, although the gazebo was affected. All celebration services continued and we thank you all for coming out to celebrate Christ together, ” the Church said Sunday evening through an official statement.

The same was experienced at several Church locations around the country, where the rain caused a power shut down for hours.

“I thank God for pastor Eddie and his calmness, the entire pastoral team and caretakers at Watoto Church Ntinda. And to those speculating about spiritual attacks I would say the enemy doesn’t strike what he doesn’t perceive a threat, so let the fire that is Watoto continue,” Susan Carolyn further adds.
