Top South African gospel singer to grace a mega charity fundraising in Uganda

Loyiso Bala, a multi-award-winning South African gosple artiste, well-known for his significant contribution to both the local and international music industry, will be in Uganda to grace Toxicug, a charity benefit concert aimed at raising funds to 40 Days Over 40 Smiles Foundation.

The Kampala based independent, youth-led, charity organisation helps vulnerable children and communities to access quality, all-round education support and entrepreneurial training aimed at self-sustainability.

“Our model greatly hinges on the use of social media as a platform for raising awareness on pertinent issues in our community and subsequently find solutions. We also use fun-social events to inspire a socially-conscious movement of youths who contribute to our cause.” The Foundation says.

The fundraising will be happening on the 18th day of December 2016 at Kampala Serena Hotel, with tickets going for 50k ordinary and 100k VIP.

The same event will draw acting ambassador for MTN Zambia and CEO Lota house, Pompi, back to Uganda. Kris Erroh from Kenya, Shifah Musisi and Tabu Flo dance company from Uganda will as well be part of the Charity cause.

Currently UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador for South Africa, Loyiso Bala, who was at the peak of his career by 2010, felt the need to seek God in the area of his calling, to venture into the Gospel music market.

Some of his recent albums showcased the singles ‘I want you’, ‘Blow Your Mind’ (the title track), ‘Take Me Back’, ‘Dali Wami’ and ‘Maybe’, which were simultaneously listed in the top 100 radio charts of South Africa.

“We as Christians should not be isolated in serving only in the church but to go out into the world and to spread the gospel of Jesus to everyone. Jesus clearly gave all of us this mandate. So my mission is to remind the church of this ‘Great Mission’,” he says.

His versatility in music has led him to manoeuvre with ease between different genres in music.
