Last year Sheard announced that she would launch a clothing line, Eleven 60, and spoke up about the need to create quality apparel for an under-served demographic of women.
The singer has since sought to create her own plus-sized clothing line for over a decade after seeing the demand for it as a full figured young woman who was previously bullied about her weight.
Famed Break every chain singer, Tasha Cobbs may be adding model to her resume as she debuted a new look from fellow gospel singer Kierra Sheard’s Eleven 60 clothing line.
“Loving my @eleven60 on this Pentecost Sunday,” Cobbs, 34, captioned an photograph of herself wearing a pink peplum top from Sheard’s line.
Sheard, previously told The Christian Post that her clothing line combines quality and stylish garments for more than just women in church, but everyday people who wear size 10 and over.
Although the gospel singer and fashionista acknowledges that her clothing line has potential to provide her with another stream of income, she is not invested in it because of its earning potential.
“A lot of people think that I’m takin the clothing line and just want every dollar. Yes I want the dollars that come with it but I believe that this clothing line is going to allow me to walk into doors where I’ll be able to meet people that never would have listened to my music,” Sheard explained to CP. “I’ll be able to introduce or re-present Christ to them. So I look at all of my purpose in life as a way to assist Jesus Christ in building the body.”
