Amid all the news about Islam’s gains around the world, here is some startling news you’ve probably never heard: In the last 5 years, Indonesia has been experiencing a surge in Christianity.

Thousands of Muslims turn to Christ every year! Churches in Indonesia say that 30 percent of this Muslim country is now Christian, up by 10 percent from 2016.

According to Charisma News, In Indonesia—the most populous Muslim nation—2 million Muslims are converting to Christianity per year.

That’s one new convert every 15 seconds. At this rate, Indonesia will be mostly Christian by 2035, the Christian news outlet confirms. There can be more, but in their IDs they are still Muslim. There are also the underground churches, according to CBN.

Some Muslims are so alarmed they’ve created a video on YouTube to alert other Muslims to this menace and are trying to raise $2 million to start a TV station aimed at Muslim youth to keep them in Islam.

Called “Save Maryam,” it depicts a young teen named Maryam who represents all disillusioned Muslim youth that have responded to invitations to gospel events or someone handing them a tract that says “Jesus Loves You.”

Watch the 4-minute, 45-second video yourself . It’s from Muslims in their own words, alarmed at the rate of conversions to Christianity.

It ends by urging Muslims to stop this trend (thereby “Saving Maryam”) by alerting other Muslims to the threat by forwarding the video on social media.

Indonesian pastor visiting the United States confirmed to Charisma News that the Indonesian church is growing despite persecution like churches being burned down and some Christians being killed.

In a city in the province of West Java, all of its 29 Christian churches have been forcibly closed even after meeting the requirements needed to operate legally as a church, reports CBN

The pastors are saying that the main reason is because Muslim extremists are pressuring the local government not to grant licenses to these churches.
