Missionaries spreading the gospel in Karamoja region, northern Uganda have reported 200 salvation decisions for Christ.

The group led by Pr Dr Fergus and Joanne Buchan, founders of Messiah Ministries International London, arrived in Uganda earlier this month and embarked on reaching out to residents in remote areas of Karamoja.

They witnessed many turn away from man-made traditions to Christ and His teachings.

“We have been here a few days now. It is really a very hard area . We are the first white men to bring the gospel to this region. It has been a great honor and privilege for us, because there is a lot of ancestral worship and pagan occultism,” Fergus Buchan said in an update on social media June 6.

Moving on, the Pastor revealed that witch doctors come down during the gathering with a prepared potion to throw at him “which would burn badly.”

They tried to reach him, but never getting closer than 20 meters, just turned and left.

“When we had our first meeting, efforts where made by witch doctor so it could be stopped. We prayed against it. The power of Jesus Christ, and the blood of the Lamb, was too strong for them,” Fergus Buchan said. “Over these last couple of days we have encountered 200 salvation.”

“The great breakthrough came… when the leaders repented and gave their lives to Jesus Christ, and I believe blessings are going to come now – This place will never be the same because a seed has been sown. This hard ground is being broken,” he said, quoting Joel 3:12-14.

It says; Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision
