Christ for all Nations (CfaN), a ministry organisation that was founded by late evangelist Reinhard Bonnke reported Wednesday that more than 100,000 people in Tanzania made a decision for Christ during a 2-week crusade in the East African nation.
In the statement on Wednesday, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, Bonnke’s successor, said the crusades were conducted hand in hand with the ministry’s evangelism bootcamp graduates.
“The last two weeks have been absolutely incredible with thousands of salvations, miracles, and people filled with the Holy Spirit,” one of the speakers at the crusades, Evangelist Gary Smith, said in a report on the CfaN website.
“People did not want to leave the field once the service was over. The hunger of the people to receive more from the Lord is something you cannot describe. Family members were bringing me pictures and clothing items; they were even praying over the phone for their loved ones,” he added.
“Not only were thousands saved, but there were also hands lifted all over the entire field that said Jesus has healed them,” he continued. “The testimony line grew longer and longer as people were excited to tell what the Lord had done for them.”
As Uganda Christian News reported earlier, Tanzania was one of few African countries that did not impose lockdowns or curfews in the fight against COVID-19.
Churches held public worship, and authorities did not place restrictions on large outdoor gatherings including crusades. CfaN held five crusades in five cities including Shinyanga, Tabora, Singida and Kahama.
During that time, the CfaN Bootcamp graduates also preached in the schools and marketplaces.
Evangelist Paul Maurer who preached in Kahama said in the report:
“When I started praying deliverance prayers, demons began to manifest all over the crowd. Demonized people began screaming, shrieking, and rolling around on the ground as the demons responded to the name of Jesus. I heard that witchcraft is very prevalent in the area, and I guess that explains why so many needed deliverance. The team told me that the ‘snake pit’ was overflowing with people! It was a joy to hear reports of them getting set-free.”
