Eng Badru Kiggundu has been chairman of the Electoral commission for three terms now after being appointed in November 2002, to replace Mr Aziz Kasujja.

He declared a few weeks back that he will go into retirement after swearing the new leaders from the 2016 elections.

As reported, this announcement was triggered by a journalist who asked him whether he would serve if President Museveni lost the 2016 general presidential elections.

“I am a law abiding citizen, I have served my 3 terms and that’s enough,” he said during the press briefing at the commission head offices in Kampala.

With all this on board, little could we remember that Prophet Elvis Mbonye had prophesied on 5th January 2015 about the closure of one chapter in the Electoral Commission of Uganda.

A video of the prophecy was released yesterday and it is the first of many series of prophecies to be fulfilled this year.

In this, The prophet says,” there is something which I saw, which will be like music to some peoples ears. But, you are going to see a closing of one chapter. This has to do with the Electoral commission. A chapter closes and a new chapter… this is the last of it,”
