UCU student diagnosed with leukemia is seeking financial assistance

UG Christian News has learnt that Viola Nagasha, a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from Uganda Christian University (UCU), Mukono has been diagnosed with Leukaemia, a cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow where blood cells are made.

Her sister Daphine, and the UCU chaplaincy have confirmed these details, adding that a fundraising campaign has been organised to help raise money for her treatment at Mulago Referral Hospital, where she is undergoing Chemotherapy.

Further more, gospel music acappella group, The Spring gents have organised a concert whose proceeds will go wards the same cause.

They will be joined by fellow artists; D’Reign, JohnMary, Wake, Deejay Awar, Robinson, Zabuli and many more.

“Viola Concert” will take place on 12th April, 2017 (This Wednesday) at Nkoyoyo Hall, UCU from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

To attend the concert, one will pay Shs 3,000 [students] and Shs 10,000 for the university staff .
