Famous Zambian gospel music singer, Pompi is expected to minister at a concert dubbed ‘The Lock Down’ at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala on 30th June.

Notably, this concert is also expected to draw Kanjii Mbugua from Kenya, an  accomplished gospel musician with over ten albums to his name. Kanjii is also CEO of Kijiji Agency, a full service digital marketing and Media Agency largely spread in Kenya.

The organisers of the concert have disclosed outlets where the singers’ fans can purchase tickets beforehand at Ush 50,000 against the gate price of Ush 70,000. These locations include; Shell Bugolobi, Shell Capital and Shell Logogo. A corporate table runs at 2 million shillings.

The concert is majorly intended to showcase Oliver Mtukudzi, a Zimbabwean musician, businessman, philanthropist and human rights activist.

Other acts expected include singer Naava Grey, comedians Pablo and Ann Kansiime.

Pompi, who was last week announced South African Artist of the year by the Groove awards 2017, is most popular for his hits such as Makeup, Giant Killer and Mulungu Samagona. The musician is currently working on his third album expected this year.

Pompi released his first album Mizu in 2012, before he put out the second album Broken English in 2014.

His last appearance in Ugandan was during the Born free concert (August 2016) organised by a consultancy company called The Usual Suspect, and artists including Abel Chungu, Magnum44, Flow1ne, Lilly Million, Crazy Fish ministered.
