Pastor Steven Mutesasira, husband to singer Julie Mutesasira Nalugya has said that he has heard so much being said about his family, nevertheless they are well with no trouble whatsoever.

The Redeemed of the Lord Evangelistic church senior Pastor has told Uganda’s state aided local Newspaper Bukedde that his wife went abroad, something she always does, hence no cause for alarm.

“As a pastor, l’m concerned about my reputation. My wife has been travelling a lot to different countries to minister and share the word of God. Going to America is not a new thing.” He told the Newspaper on Friday.

His statement from DR Congo where he is preaching at a crusade follows continued claims of a bitter split between him and his wife Julie Nalugya Mutesasira.

Rumors have had it for over a month now that their marriage is on loose ends due to infidelity, raw on finances, Julie’s dress code and music career matters.

Contacted over the issue, Julie said she was not ready to disclose any information, urging that it is not her habit to explain herself to media over personal matters.

Steven and Julie Mutesasira got married in 2003.

When similar rumor clouded media in 2015, Julie said; Whenever my husband and I hear such things, we shrug them off. But just like any other marriage, we also do encounter our own share of problems but never put them out there in the public.

The Mutesasira’s Response on the most important key elements in maintaining a successful marriage.

Steven: Trust, love and patience are very important aspects which will enable you to thrive even during the most difficult times of your marriage.
Julie: Love is very crucial. Minus that, the marriage is not sustainable. Trust is also very important. If you are the type of wife who keeps following your husband around and meddling constantly in his personal affairs, it becomes dangerous for the marriage. Give him his space whenever he needs it.
