This is 2016 thrill! This is exciting. And to celebrate it, lets talk about it. Although it will be the first full-house gospel music event bringing together MCs, DJs, Musicians and fans of Christian music, all our expectations are hinged on the fact that it is intended to lift up our spirits, as we stand  entertained at the same time.

Proudly, and with humility, we bring to your attention ‘The Beat Connect’, a Christian entertainment and hang out event scheduled to take place the 30th April, 2016 at The Heights Centenary Park, Kampala.

“This is a smaller sample of a bigger vision I am yet to unveil. To the rest of the world, Christians are boring but to us who have the contrary revelation, we know we are the actual fun house. So I have organized this event to showcase that,” said King Wesley, the event host to our reporter in an exclusive interview.

Better known as the King of Radio, King Wesley is a broadcaster and show host presenter at Christian radio Spirit Fm 96.6 FM. This show took the top spot among several Religious Urban Breakfast shows at the RTV Academy Awards 2015. He has appeared as a host and judge of numerous prestigious gospel events and awards around the country.

“Above all else am a son, brother, friend and most importantly a servant of the Most High God. I have a vision for this industry but am just one man and it’s a huge industry so I decided, I will faithfully see my vision through no matter the Price,” he  stated.

Why Centenary Park? Wesley believes that the Church is not a building, it’s us. “And where two or more are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is present. So we are breaking mind sets with this one,”

Dafari, one of Kenya’s finest exports as far as gospel ragga and reggae is concerned will be expected to grace and crown up the event

“He has an album dubbed Preacher Bwoy that is doing great. He is favorite here, so I thought I should get him down here to give that international touch,” King Wesley confirmed.

Entry will be 12,000/= ugx, with a free drink and Nyama choma.
