It is the word you know, which you recall and use that can deliver you in times of need.

We are in Genesis 5:1-32 and Matthew 4:1-25.

One time we were at work and there seemed to be no customers, a colleague said; Ah, where will money come from, will we even find food?

I replied; You and who? he replied; all of us? I told him boldly, I will not only eat, but will have more than enough!

He laughed and said, Abalokole!, oba mweyitaki? (To literally mean, who do born-again Christians think they are?)

The point is simple, faith in God is not automatic. You must at every point take His Word, claim it and produce results.

It is the Word you recall, and can use at the time of need that can save you.

As you see in this particular incidence of fasting in the wilderness, Jesus Christ dealt with the devil by picking up the word and putting it to use right away.

What would have happened if he knew no scripture or couldn’t remembering anything? Could He have recalled what he had not taken time to stud by himself?

This is why you must make it a lifestyle; To study the word of God yourself and to always use it daily.

That is what builds up your faith, putting to work the word of God in your own life.
